Kris Schroeder was born a girl, is a girl, and will always be a girl. She is in a body that she’s fairly happy with – probably as happy as most people get. In her own words, “I would not trade the 500 or so hated periods and pms, the pain of childbirth, or anything else about my body to change my gender.”
Kim Schroeder was born a boy, is a girl, and will be from here forward a girl. She was not at all happy in the body she had. In her own words, ”I did not act especially feminine, but identified with girls so strongly that sometime in the evenings as i was falling asleep I realize I had morphed in to a girl.”
Kris has a child who was born a boy, but confessed one afternoon; long before Kim did he’d like to be a girl. He is currently transgender and continues to live as male.
Individually they are really not at all confused about whom they are, but as a family their roles have changed, changed again, and continue to evolve. They all love each other dearly are completely to their relationship. However, they are without a doubt a “TransConfused Family”.
